SAP, Ireland
From 2009 until 2016
I have worked at SAP since 2009 until 2016 handling design and development in various different projects and technologies.
Adventify Studios
An app / game company.
I started Adventify Studios in my spare time initially to create an alternative project. Then after a Developer event at Google at which I won the first prize for a quick app (Meetnrun), I decided to stick to smaller projects and I started Sokos, my first game.
Edgeverve, Ireland
Working here since 2016
Responsible for providing insight to business and user problems through Design Thinking best practices. Maintaining the strategic link between stake holders, product owners and scrum masters, providing user interface solutions in cooperation with those parties and Architecture and Application Development. Manage and communicate ideas and collaborate with other members of the cross team, in order to produce compelling first-class user experiences.
Step 1 of almost all of my work starts with a paper sketch, sometimes that's enough to validate or dismiss an idea, process, workflow, design, concept, etc.
Whiteboard Colaboration
Whiteboards, smart wall paint, whiteboard markers, lots of wipes.
At any stage of the process it's always good practice to share ideas with the product owners and/or developers on wall sketches in order to come to an agreement on a user story, specification details, brainstorming, etc.
Digital Mockups
Using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Inkscape, Gimp, Balsamiq, Axure.
Digital Mockups are great for reuse, and sometimes even faster than paper, depending on how standard the design needs to be. Occasionally I got the option of reusing corporate provided component designs, this is great for focusing on the experience rather than the looks.
Pixel Perfect Designs
Using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Inkscape, Gimp, Aseprite.
One of the best tools to gain Product Owner approval, get feedback from real understanding of the final (intended, at least) looks of a tool or feature.
